Orion's initial prospective merchants include suppliers of research-use-only peptides. We disclose that intended category openly — on this site and in every provider application.
No guaranteed acceptance
Many payment providers restrict or prohibit this category. Orion cannot promise that any provider will accept a research supplier, and no provider has accepted this category for Orion today.How eligibility is assessed
Eligibility depends on the facts of each business, including:
- Actual products — what is sold, in what form and quantity, as shown in the real catalogue.
- Jurisdiction — where the business operates and where products are shipped; rules differ by country and province.
- Marketing — how products are described, including any health, therapeutic or human-use claims.
- Fulfilment — who ships, from where, with what controls.
Labels do not decide legality
“Research use only” wording on a label or website does not by itself establish that a product is lawful to sell, or that a provider will accept it. Reviewers look at what the product is and how it is marketed and sold.
Full disclosure to providers
Each merchant's identity, website and actual product list are disclosed for underwriting. Orion does not disguise a merchant's category, and it does not route transactions to another provider to get around a decline or restriction.
What to expect
- Complete the application with your real catalogue and website details.
- Orion performs an enhanced review and may ask for more information.
- If Orion proceeds, your application is submitted to a provider that has indicated it will consider the category. The provider decides.
- You may be declined at any stage.
