Getting started with the Orion sandbox

What Orion is

Orion is merchant payments software: checkout, payment links, onboarding, provider connections, tracking, reconciliation, and refund and dispute workflows. A payment provider processes and settles payments; Orion is the software around it.

What is available

Only the sandbox. It uses simulated providers, a simulated blockchain and synthetic data. No live payments, no real money.

Try it

1. Create a sandbox merchant account (fictional details only).
2. Work through the onboarding wizard.
3. Create a test API key and a webhook endpoint (the built-in receiver is easiest).
4. Run a checkout from a payment link and try each simulated outcome.
5. Watch the payment's event history, then request a refund.

What Orion will never ask for

Bank login passwords, provider account passwords, wallet seed phrases, private keys or full card numbers.
